For The Local Wine Lover – we’re dedicated to featuring bottles from smaller producers who prioritize low-intervention, natural winemaking.
Each month, participants will receive an order of either 3 or 6 bottles of wine chosen by the Bacchanal team, along with tasting notes, background on producers, suggested pairings, and a little monthly lagniappe!

Established in 2002 by our beloved Chris Rudge, Bacchanal began as a humble backyard, a few racks of wine and a neighborhood clientele in a 200-year-old brick building tucked into the downriver corner of the Bywater. Twenty-two years later, this beloved institution keeps that original, laid-back spirit alive as the city’s premiere backyard party, with live local music seven nights a week, a wine shop of 300 bottles -focused on natural and small-production winemakers- and a menu of seasonal, Mediterranean-inflected fare. “Our goal,” says Beverage Director Katie Singer, “is to continue to share our passion for wine with our community, our friends, and people from all over the world, just as Chris would.”
