Hood Famous™ is a community space that operates as a Filipino Bakery, Cafe + Bar - home of the OG Ube Cheesecake, serving up small batch pan de sal, silogs and sandos, traditional to modern Filipino pastries and desserts, a single origin Asia Pacific coffee program, and creative brunch cocktails.
We are located in the historic Publix Building in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District and historic Filipino Town. Initially built for migrant workers, the Publix was home for many Filipino cannery workers and farm laborers. Since opening our Cafe + Bar in 2019, we aim to reclaim and contribute to this rich history of Filipino community presence through our cuisine, Filipino-style hospitality, storytelling, and outright visibility. We approach our work with a mindset to honor our Filipino cuisine, while giving ourselves permission to innovate and have fun with the flavors we grew up with.
