Named for Chef Tedesco's daughter, LOca dOro (The Golden Goose) is Austin's award-winning neighborhood Italian restaurant celebrating family, community, and sustainability. All of our provisions are sourced with select locally-grown produce and animals - a reflection of a sustainable philosophy that extends to our handmade pasta, cheese, salumi, bread, vinegars and liqueurs. We care for our team members as family, and pay One Fair Wage in the belief that lovingly prepared food and authentic hospitality are best nurtured by meeting the basic needs of our entire staff. We also lovingly cook meals for front-line healthcare workers and AISD, and work closely with Good Work Austin, a local nonprofit aimed at creating guidelines for employers and advocating for policy change at local and state levels. We pledge to protect the Earth and promote sustainable growth in Austin with all our choices.
