There is no region more iconic for Grenache than France's southern Rhône Valley – home to Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Based there, Élodie Jaume is one of a set of exciting new producers working to redefine the region's most classic appellations through biodynamic farming, gentle approaches to winemaking and low (in some cases, no) sulfur use. And she is the first woman to take over her 35 hectare family estate in five generations.
Her Côtes du Rhône is one of the most refined we've ever had: lifted but tenaciously grippy and spicy. Biodynamic Grenache blended with touches of Mourvèdre and Syrah, fermented and aged in concrete. Bottled unfined, unfiltered.
