This month’s club takes us to Baden-Württemberg: the southwestern pocket of Germany where a generation of growers is actively redefining German wine. Some of the cultiest names in wine call this area home – Wasenhaus, Enderle & Moll, Bastian Wolber to name a few. Our club wines cover a breadth of styles from the region, from Burgundy-influenced Chardonnay (after all, you can see western France from the vineyards here!) to regional specialties Trollinger and Lemberger.

So for this month’s add-on, we’re offering Leon Circle members an exclusive opportunity to go deep on a rising star whose bottles are quickly popping up on wine lists from NY to Tokyo: Lassak.

Stefanie and Fabian Lassak have carefully selected cool, organic parcels on a riverbend in Hessigheim just north of Stuttgart – an area defined by solid limestone (one vineyard they simply refer to as The Quarry). The wines are chiseled, precise, and honestly some of the most stirring bottlings of Riesling, Lemberger and Pinot Noir we’ve ever tasted.
